The compact classic

The Tormek SG-200 Original Grindstone fits the Tormek T-4 and all earlier machine models with a grinding wheel 200 mm (7 7/8″) in diameter. Also known as Tormek SuperGrind®, it’s been developed over the years to combine efficient sharpening and a fine surface finish with a long service life. The more compact dimensions are adapted to our more compact machines for anyone with limited space or those who need to easily transport their Tormek. The SG-200 Original Grindstone is supplied as standard with the Tormek T-4 Original and Tormek T-4 Bushcraft.

All-round sharpening for professionals and amateurs
The SG-200 Original Grindstone is the perfect all-round grindstone. The grit can be adjusted between 220 and 1000 grit with the SP-650 Stone Grader. This makes it excellent for both coarse and fine sharpening, and it easily sharpens most types of tools and steel grades.

The SG-200 Original Grindstone is supplied as standard with the Tormek T-4 Original and Tormek T-4 Bushcraft. It’s also available for the Tormek T-8 Original and Tormek T-8 Custom, but with different dimensions as the SG-250 Original Grindstone.

Always round
The TT-50 Truing Tool allows you to remove the very top layer of the grindstone to restore a perfectly round shape. When the grindstone is freshly trued, the surface is particularly aggressive and can be used for an especially aggressive sharpening. The SG-200 fits the Tormek T-4 Original, Tormek T-4 Bushcraft, Tormek T-3 and earlier Tormek models with a grinding wheel 200 mm (7 7/8″) in diameter and 40 mm (1 5/8″) wide.

The Tormek Original Grindstone has evolved over the years to offer the best combination of efficient steel removal, smooth surface finish and a long life. This stone efficiently cuts all types of tools and steel qualities including HSS. It is delivered with the T3 model (SG-200).

The unique composition of the stone, together with the Stone Grader SP-650 gives you two different cutting actions in one stone. The Stone grader polishes the surface of the grindstone from its normal 220 grit to a finish that works like a 1000 grit stone. This is a great advantage, since you can do the fine sharpening* with the same setting of the jig as used for the initial shaping* of the tool. The Original Grindstone is the ideal choice when you want both efficient steel removal and fine finish in the same stone over a wide variety of materials, from carbon steel to high speed steel.
